There is nothing like Big Brown (UPS) :-) April 23, 2008

So, tonight has ended a small saga that began in Italy.  I ordered some special Demo Books from a Studio out of Italy and it just seemed that every corner we turned was a delay, a hold up, a “problem”.  When my books FINALLY reached the United States I was thrilled, I followed the tracking order like it was the birth of a baby.  I drove my WFF (wedding foto forum) friends nuts! But they all loved it, didn’t you: Gareth, Bob, Jenn, Mike, Cujo, Liz, Tom…did I forget anyone?

So, finally the book arrives, Columbus, ohio; Middleburg Heights, Ohio; Girard, Ohio;  OUT FOR DELIVERY!!!  But there’s an address problem…Day 2, I actually MISSED the delivery.  So I called Big Brown, you know I was a bit frantic and they were very calm, offering me whatever it took to get me my package…SO, I decide to take a trip out to Big Brown, we set the time, I show up and then there’s this guy, you’ll see him in the picture with the dark T-shirt on, he comes around the corner and says “You’re NEVER going to believe his”  I thought, “I can’t make this stuff up”  ”It’s unreal”  My driver (must be a nice guy) stopped to help another driver, so there’s a delay, can I come back or wait for 45 minutes.  So I decide to wait.

It’s a beautiful night, I sit in my car and text EVERYONE and NO ONE texts me back…Thanks for the love.  hahaha!  But finally, it’s here.  I go inside and I can’t miss a photo op, I take in my camera and I just have to share with you the shots.  But finally, FINALLY, my baby is home.

Great job Big Brown, your still the best in my book!

I’d give you all props, but I don’t know your names, but you know who you are!

It’s been a great journey, we’ve had a lot of fun, and now I’ve met some wonderful Big Brown People.  Leave a comment on the blog guys, I’d love to hear from you!

We met with Michael this past week for his senior portraits, Michael is a 2008 graduate with a desire to go into the field of animal rescue.  Michael brought his pet and friend Bear.  We had a beautiful day to photograph in, it was one of our first warm sunny days and it was a pleasure to meet both Michael and Bear and capture something for them that will never happen again.  Congrat’s Michael!

Spent some down time in NYC! April 15, 2008

Before we get into the rush of the wedding season I took some time off to visit my favorite city in the US: NYC.

I had a great map and visited many things: Bronx Zoo, Top of the Rock, Central Park, Scottish Day Festival with M. Vick, kicker for the NY Giants, the streets of the city and of course what is a trip to NY for a photographer with out a stop at B&H Photo.

Looks like my timing was off on this trip and I’ll be heading back in May for a Yervant Seminar!  I’m very excited.  Yervant is a master wedding photographer with Great Energy and I can’t wait to see what I can learn to bring back for my Brides and their special day.

So:  here’s a few of my shots from NY, for more please go to www.pbase.com/leesabee
