As you know Creations Photography is opening a branch in Troy Missouri. Raquel will remain in Ohio to handle all of the Ohio affairs and I am off to Missouri due to a job transfer of my husbands, to open a new branch office in Missouri. We are excited at this new venture and look forward to service both states! Don’t worry, we will still be there to shoot your weddings as always, together. We do realize we make a good team!

So, for now, I spent some time checking out some locations for shots and found a park off of Old Mexico Road in St. Peters, Mo. I shot my son..

So, enjoy a few shots of Luke:

Last Game of the year! July 22, 2008

Just a few shots from the last game of the WAC Raiders.

There were so many transitions for this team to go through and in the beginning it was like 10 different teams on one team, but it took maybe 3 games and this team really started to gel.

I saw such a maturity in these young men as they supported their team mates in good plays and bad.  The childishness you often see as younger players was absent from this team.

My husband has coached a Warren team for 10 years and we have seen most of these kids grow up from the age of five.

It was bittersweet since this will be the last year he will coach a Warren team and my last year to photograph them.

Jim and I want to say to all the kids and their parents, Thank you for all the kindness and respect you’ve shown us and the team.  For your encourgement on and off the field.  For supporting the coaching staff all year long.  Sure some people get disgruntled and try to stir up problems we see this every year but we are thankful for the wisdom on the parents and players for seeing over this and allowing WAC Raiders to end their season on a good note!

Thank you!

This past week I had the chance to catch up with one of our free E-session winners from the Eastwood Mall Bridal Show.  It’s always such a nice thing to do and I know the brides are thrilled to get these images for the paper and showers and whatever else they want to use them for.

Sue and Ed are a really wonderful couple, they convey such love and respect for each other and even though they are not married yet, you can easily see how the two are one!

We had a fun time, Ed had some concerns as most men do, but Sue was ready to go and very comfortable. I think Sue has some plans for these pictures, look out Ed!

Oh and one more thing….wow, did they like to kiss!

Told you!  :-)

This week we had the privilage of shooting Alexis with her prize Siberian Husky Cole.  Did we have fun?  You bet we did.  At first Alexis was a bit nervous but soon she was having a blast and relaxed right into her comfort zone.

Alexis is graduating from Niles High School and going on to Culinary School.  We suggest she become a chef on a cruise ship so we could visit her!

I think Cole is going to miss you Alexis when you go, but we want to wish you the best of EVERYTHING as you finish your last year of High School and enter a new phase of life!  Congrats!

The Commercial Kids! July 14, 2008

Meet Salamon and Deliala, brother and sister.

I work out at a gym and one day one of the trainers told us about her children being in a commercial and how she wanted to start a portfolio.  We were excited to shoot these two beautiful children.

We had a beautiful day for the shoot, it flowed so easily and both kids were a blast to work with and to get to know.

We learned that Deliala has a bunny and Salamon does not like to be the center of attention.  Both kids had such warm personalities and were so easy to direct and shoot.

So to Deliala and Salamon, we at Creations Photography wish you the best in your new careers.  Can’t wait to see you on TV!

Michael and Julie July 14, 2008

When we first sat down with Michael and Julie, I really wanted to do their wedding.  Beautiful people with great spirits and a love that really showed.

One of the greatest things I can say about great weddings are the ones that are simply, yet elegant; they are surrounded in love and support; the day flows with ease.  This was the case with their day.  You could tell that Julie and Mike were surrounded in support from friends and family and not just because of this day ,but because of the many days that proceeded this day.  Julie and Michael had waited a long time to take this walk down the aisle.

Michael was a KO boxer, yet his heart was so caring.  He had a hard time keeping his emotions in during the procession and when he saw Julie, his heart took over.

Julie and Michael wrote their own vows, which they repeated to each other from memory.  The wedding and church they chose was also fantastic.  You can see the pictures here:  www.viewpicshere.com.  Near the end they had a family friend play the guitar and sing a ballad, then time for the kiss.  The best man had planned a surprise all his own, and threw rose petals on them as they kissed.

When they were announced Mr. and Mrs.  Michael and Julie raised their joined hands in victory and the crowd all stood and gave them a standing ovation.  It was the first standing ovation we had witnessed and it was awesome!

Michael and Julie we wish you two the best.  It’s been an honor!

4th of July Fun! July 5, 2008

I’m a little late, but I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July.  I hung out with some friends and went to a rehearsal of a wedding we are shooting today.  More about that later, but for now fireworks fun.

First was a baseball game among some friends. It’s fast and fun and always a riot to hear people cheer (MD) and watch even the smallest of children play with the adults and be shown a bit of favor too!

There are a couple shots of Tammy, and her “ring” She got engaged this year and will be married in December, I could not help pass up the shots of her and her ring and add a bit of “action” to it.  ENJOY

Then of course, what would the 4th be without fireworks?  It’s a tradition at our home for the men folk to run like crazy children to the fireworks store and spend as much money as they can in as little time as possible.  I won’t tell you the dollar figure but I can tell you This photographer is going to the Apple Store on Monday :-)

So after the picnic a few of us gather to watch our husbands act 12.  It was fun and my first time at shooting fireworks.  I eventually skipped the tripod, and still got some great shots.

I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July!
